Traffic Advisory
Kinsman Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
Monday, Sept. 24, 2018
(Wards 4 and 6)

On Sept. 24, 2018, the City of Cleveland will begin the Kingsbury Boulevard Resurfacing Project from Kinsman Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (MLK).

The project will be phased to allow for one-lane traffic in the northbound direction.  Vehicles will be able to drive northbound from MLK to Kinsman Avenue.  Southbound traffic (Kinsman to MLK) will be detoured east on Kinsman Avenue, south on MLK and then northbound on Kingsbury Boulevard.

Access to all abutting businesses, institutions and residents will be maintained. Electronic message boards will be in place on either end of the project informing the public of the impending construction work. Work is estimated to be completed by November 2018.

The improvements include asphalt resurfacing, base repairs, casting adjustments, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act compliant ramps, and new pavement markings. The work will take place during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in November 2018. Questions? Please contact the City of Cleveland Acting Chief Inspector, James Miller at 216-857-1635.

Editor’s Note: Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. All travelers are urged to use caution in construction zones. Public safety and the safety of workers is a top priority.
