CLEVELAND – On October 24, 2018, weather permitting, the City will begin improvements on West 5th Street. The Brick Repair Project extends from Literary Avenue to University Avenue.

The work will be performed in phases allowing one lane of traffic in the southbound direction. Northbound traffic will be detoured using Literary Avenue, University Avenue, and West 7th Street.

Improvements include removing concrete patches and replacing them with bricks. The work will take place Monday through Friday during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in December 2018.  Contact the City of Cleveland Chief Inspector, Traci Hartnett Mercado at 216-857-5447 with questions.

Editor’s Note: Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. All travelers are urged to use caution in construction zones. Public safety and the safety of workers is a top priority.
