Friday, September 6, 2019

As a part of an ongoing effort to upgrade and maintain City facilities, the Mayor’s Office of Capital Projects (MOCAP) is conducting assessments of all City facilities. Beginning in 2018, MOCAP conducted an assessment of the Division of Police facilities.

“MOCAP completed Police Station assessments in 2018,” said Darnell Brown, Chief of Operations. “The Fire Station Assessments are underway now and will be completed by the end of 2019. There are 12 Fire Station projects in various stage of design-construction-completion. MOCAP is also drafting a Request for Proposal to hire a consulting firm to begin the design process for Fire Station 26. Following the Fire facility assessments MOCAP will then begin an assessment of Public Works facilities.”

As the assessments continue updates, upgrades and new construction to City facilities will be announced.
