Citizens Police Academy
Committed to improving the quality of life in Cleveland neighborhoods, three participants who completed the Citizens Police Academy training course were presented with certificates. Mayor Frank G. Jackson, Director of Public Safety Michael McGrath, Chief of Police Calvin Williams and Commander, Bureau of Community Policing Johnny Johnson congratulated and recognized graduates at the Citizens Police Academy Graduation Ceremony held in the Red Room at Cleveland City Hall.
The Citizens Police Academy is a detailed seven week informational course allowing citizens, committed to maintaining safe and enjoyable neighborhoods, to receive first-hand knowledge and training on proper community policing techniques. The academy seeks to promote a positive relationship between the officers of the Division of Police and the citizens, which they are proud to serve.
